11-7-09 Wurstfest!! A ten day salute to sausage!!

We went to New Braufels this weekend (very close to us) to check out Wurstfest! The ten day salute to sausage. Who knew Texas was so German!? We went with our friends Ryan and Holly (and little Luke). We enjoyed good German beer, bratwursts, Polka dancing, the chicken dance and the kids got good use out of their overpriced wrist bands by riding everything about 20 times! Great fun!

Made this pretty pink couch for a friend for her daughter as a Christmas present. They're so cute. I'm working on one that is a little bit larger, suitable for Webkinz to lounge on, photos to come once it's finished!

10-31-09 Carving round 2 & Halloween

Carving round 2. We wanted to do some larger pumpkins and we quickly learned that if you carve too early, the pumpkins turn a fuzzy green color inside, eww :) SO, we had a do over after the festival.

10-31-09 Fall Festival on base

The school on base held a fall festival at a park there. We went and had a great time.
