Well, we made it! We arrived at our house on Tuesday June 9. Just in time to make a food and air mattress run and then the internet guy showed up. Wiped out, stinky, but connected to the internet...what a world we live in! Wednesday the trucks showed up with all our stuff. Che ran to base to sign in while Max (the dog) and I did the inventory with the moving folks. Fun stuff. We did get to meet many of our neighbors though, so that was nice. There are kids everywhere, and we live on a cul de sac which will make for great socializing I foresee!
Wednesday once Che got back I started the worst unpack of all....the kitchen, after so many moves across the country you get it down to a science. Kitchen first, then living room...the rest will get done eventually, but you have to eat and must relax eventually! I about died doing that Wednesday and Thursday, but it's looking good, now onto the rest of the house.
Not much has gone too easy this time, seems everytime we turn around something is messed up. We needed an extra desk, so we got that...then, we trashed an old TV in FL, so we got 2 more, but one ended up being broken when we got it home from the store, so we had to return that and didn't get another (screw it). Our main computer is having serious issues and completely locked up, then it did some stupid update and now I can't get it to work at all. The really irritating part about it is that I just put a new harddrive in it about a month ago and it worked perfect, until yesterday. So Che went and got another computer, that works wonderfully, but wow the money is flying out the window! On top of that, right before we left Riverview my precious digital camera completely died. Che being the great guy he is got me a new one, sooo happy and anxious to use it in our new digs. Oh and then yesterday when the cable guy showed up I put the dogs out back just until he was in and the dogs settled down. About 5 minutes later, after showing the cable guy this and that, I went out back to check on the dogs only to find Max in the pool. SO I fished his heavy butt out of the pool, soaked myself and went back in. Only this morning did we realize that when Max was in the pool he was trying to get out and ripped the liner (it's a large above ground pool off the deck). Great, more money flying out the window. Meltdown fast approaching!
