6-19-09 Exploring Chautauqua

After the luncheon everyone returned to their hotel/cottage to rest until the gathering later in the evening. Me, my mom and Mike did some exploring of the area. We took a walk down by the lake, stopping here and there to look at plants or pretty cottages. We passed by the beautiful Athenaeum motel. Down at the lake we saw the bell tower and beach there on Lake Chautauqua. Next to that is Palentine Park a small area where they have a representation of biblical Palestine. Mike climbed Mt. Hermon. Next we went back up the hill to the center of Chautauqua Institute where we found shops the library and other places. Then we ventured back towards our house to get ready to head over to Clark Cottage.

I have a thing for photographing flowers and random pretty things. Chautauqua had plenty of both!
